Buses will arrive at the campground to shuttle you to Big Smokey Falls Rafting and a return trip later in the day. If you want the freedom of coming and going as you please you can also drive your own car. Big Smokey Falls Rafting is 13 miles south on HWY 55 (just look for the big yellow sign). So grab a partner and hit the rapids! Each raft holds 2-3 people with a maximum load of 400 lbs. Trip duration depends on the water level. The higher the water, the faster you will float down river, and the faster the trip will be. Check with me when you arrive for approximate float times. Remember to bring a few bucks along in a plastic bag. You can stop at the Indian stand at the bank of the river for a bite to eat or a cold beer! If you would prefer a more relaxed, mellow trip on the upper river, check with me when you arrive. Important: local ordinances prohibit glass or cans from being taken in the rafts to preserve the natural beauty of the river. You are permitted to carry a Coleman or Igloo type jug. |
